Vera accesses and processes the following health-related data through the Android Health Connect API:
- Menstrual Cycle Data: Period start and end dates, cycle length, and cycle regularity.
- Period Dates: Historical and current period dates used to identify patterns.
- Symptoms: Any symptoms you choose to log, such as cramps, mood changes, or other cycle-related symptoms.
- Predictions: Based on the data above, Vera calculates and stores predicted future period dates and fertile windows.
This health data is used exclusively to provide period predictions and cycle tracking functionality within the App. Your health data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used and time spent.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's functionality
- Analyze your menstrual cycle data to generate period predictions and cycle insights
- Read and write health data through the Health Connect API to provide accurate tracking
- Improve and optimize the App
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support

4.1 Google Services
- Google Sign-In: For authentication purposes

4.2 Android Health Connect
Vera uses the Android Health Connect API to read and write menstrual cycle data. Health Connect acts as a centralized and secure repository for health data on your device. Data accessed through Health Connect remains on your device and is governed by your Health Connect permissions. You can revoke Vera's access to Health Connect at any time through your device's Health Connect settings.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your health data is stored locally on your device and within the Health Connect data store. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS
- Secure authentication through Google Sign-In
- Local storage of health data — your menstrual cycle data does not leave your device
- Limited access to personal data
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your health data with any third parties. We may share non-health information in the following circumstances:
- With Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (excluding health data)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

You can delete your health data at any time through the App or through your device's Health Connect settings. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
